Project Based Learning in our Secondary School

This year´s PBL week, our school has been buzzing with excitement as students immersed themselves in Project-Based Learning (PBL) centered around the theme of Community. Through a variety of projects, students connected with real-world experiences, developing skills like teamwork, problem-solving, and communication, all while fostering a sense of responsibility and belonging. Year groups tackled meaningful initiatives, from Year 7 organising a nature clean-up day in Bratislava, to Year 11 leading ambitious projects like a Fun Run, Community Radio and teaching EAL to younger students in the Dubova school. Whether mentoring younger peers, visiting an old people’s home, or debating global issues in a Model United Nations (MUN), our students all embraced the chance to make a positive impact. By bridging the gap between school and society, PBL Week has empowered our students to become active, compassionate citizens and it has inspired them to give back to their communities.
