Students have been heavily engaged in community activities throughout the week. Year 2 took the time to sort litter in the local area and clean up Horský Park. In Year 3, students learned about the importance of caring for animals in our community by visiting Sloboda Zvierat and walking the dogs there. In Upper Primary, Year 4 have been learning about traffic safety from a local K-9 police unit and teaching other students about the importance of staying safe in the community. Year 5 visited the KOLO recycling centre and gained a better understanding of caring for the environment, then followed this up by forming their own paper sheets in class - made entirely from recycled paper! Lastly in year 6 - students visited the Archa senior care home and spent valuable time with the elderly in our community.
