Zoe Higginbotham

Teacher of Maths

Zoe completed a Bachelor’s degree before studying for her Postgraduate Certificate in Education in London. After teaching in London state schools for seven years, she moved to Malaysia to work in a large international school for four years. After taking a year out to travel in Africa, she taught in Qatar for four years and then in Uzbekistan for three, before coming to Bratislava and joining Cambridge International School in 2015. Having worked in Primary as a Class Teacher for several years before moving to Lower Secondary with her Mathematics specialism, Zoe is particularly skilled in supporting students make the tranisiton from Primary to Secondary. Alongside classroom teaching, she has set up and run outdoor education activities in all the schools where she has worked, and plays a large part in the Cambridge Challenge and International Awards programmes at CIS. In her free time, Zoe enjoys hiking, running, mountain biking, climbing and kayaking.
