Teacher of German / Lower Secondary Phase Coordinator

Silke Kicker holds a Bachelor of Education degree from the Academy of Graz in Austria and is certified in teaching German at kindergarten, primary and secondary level, specialising also in teaching children with dyslexia and dyscalculia.

With over ten years of teaching experience in Austria and ten years more recently working in China in Universities and International schools, she is proud to now teach German as a foreign language at CIS. Silke is originally from Austria and now enjoys living in Bratislava with her husband, two of her four children, and their little dog called Gravy. Silke loves reading, baking, travelling, and running.

She is fascinated by the cultural diversity of international schools, and she always looks forward to taking up new initiatives and ideas. Silke feels responsible for ensuring that every child performs well and that they are happy at school every day. She is very grateful that she can practice her profession with such passion.
