José Luis Sanchez Melgarejo
Teacher of Spanish / Head of Modern Foreign Languages
José holds a degree in Education, two Master’s degrees (in Applied Linguistics in teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language and Spanish language teacher training), and a Doctorate in Business Management with a specialisation in online Spanish language teaching.
He has worked as a Foreign Language teacher more than fifteen years in five different countries. He has an extensive experience in both living and teaching in foreign countries. For the past ten years and before coming to CIS, José worked at the City University of Seattle in Bratislava as a Spanish teacher.
Among his hobbies he enjoys sailing, diving, travelling, reading, and his true passion, along with language teaching, is the promotion of Spanish culture. Although a devout Hispanist, he is delighted to be part of a developing Languages Department here at CIS and to help students to value the importance in an incresingly interconnected world of linguistic and cultural acquisition.
