Peter Wetzler
Head of Academic Support
Peter studied Molecular Biology in Bratislava. The idea of being a researcher who spends all day working in a laboratory was not his ideal. Instead, he studied pedagogy and taught Biology at Grösslingová Secondary School, where he spent 5 years. After that, he spent 7 years at LEAF Academy, where he was teaching AP Biology and Science. He was also in charge of co-curriculars, sports, DofE, and off-sites programs. He also led the STEM team. When he’s not teaching, you can often find him in the Slovak mountains throughout the year – with boots on in the summer and skis on in winter. He loves traveling and exploring different countries through their traditions and food. When it comes to food, he is most passionate about local and seasonal food, and he tries to spread awareness of this throughout his blog. He joined Cambridge International School in 2023 as Head of Academic Support and Development.
