Leanne McNamara
Head of Secondary / Teacher of Humanities
Leanne undertook her Bachelor’s Degree in Humanities and Religious Studies with the Open University and then completed her Post Graduate Certificate in Education at Bath Spa University.
Her passion for education began in the UK as a teacher of Religion, Philosophy and Ethics. In addition to this, she has also been responsible for leading successful departments and teaching History, Geography, Social Sciences and PSHE across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5. Leanne has been involved in a variety of co-curricular activities, such as educational trips to Rome and Berlin and relishes these opportunities.
In her free time, she loves to cycle, and plans to get to know Slovakia on two wheels. When not cycling, she also enjoys reading anything from the latest educational research to Science Fiction. As Head of Secondary, she is responsible for the day-to-day academic and pastoral leadership of students in Years 7-13.
